 JUNE PROGRAM: GETTING READY FOR SCHOOL

 

Join Nanny Boppins each Tuesday over the month of June to enjoy learning about some of the fundamentals of schooling education, including ABC’s, 123’s, Colours and Shapes. An educational and entertaining program tailored for Pre School aged children and their parents to learn, engage and have fun through music, games, craft and story. Each week Nanny Boppins will explore a new theme, this month learning to recognise, write and explore the alphabet and numbers. Through fun and play the children will also enjoy counting and exploring the wonderful world of colours and shapes and come away feeling connected and inspired.

 

Tuesday 3rd June

ABC’s

Join Nanny Boppins this Tuesday on a wonderful journey into the Alphabet. We’ll sing, dance and learn all about our ABC’s through recognition, writing and fun based learning. Craft a bookmark, enjoy a story and go away with a new love of letters and words.

 

Tuesday 10th June

123’s

We explored the alphabet last week and this week we will venture into the wonderful world of Numbers! Count, recognise and write numbers, play with numbers and craft with numbers. See how many bubbles you can pop this morning and head off into your week counting down the days until next weeks session where we’ll learn about Colours.

 

Tuesday 17th June

Colours

Bring your sunglasses this week because it will be bright at our Minitowns session. A beautiful session where the children will learn to recognise and enjoy all of the colours of the rainbow and more. Bring your friends along for an hour of educational entertainment hosted by Nanny Boppins, engaging with your little one through song, games, story and craft.

 

Tuesday 24th June

Shapes

Triangles, circles, rectangles and squares….how many shapes can you see? Nanny Boppins will be having fun with shapes this week at our Minitowns play session. An hour of educational entertainment to keep your preschooler engaged to learn through music, activities, story and craft. A free weekly activity, no bookings necessary and just a whole hour of fun, this week based around shapes!

 

Tuesday 1st July

Fun At School

Join Nanny Boppins for the final Minitown session for this term before a 2 week break for school holidays. We’ve had a big month of enjoying activities based around “Getting Ready For School.” This week we will have fun identifying things that we love to do that make us happy, as well as revising all the fundamentals of ABC’s and 123’s, Shapes and Colours.

Join us for a very special NAIDOC WEEK Mini session with Uncle Perry! On Wednesday 5th July, Uncle Perry will be sharing his cultural heritage with our minis for a very special NAIDOC WEEK celebration. Enjoy a craft session afterwards. During the mini session Uncle Perry will; Play Traditional and contemporary solo didgeridoo sounds and rhythms. demonstrate how we make animal sounds, rhythms and beats by using Aboriginal language while playing didgeridoo Traditional name ( Yidaki ) Educate where the didgeridoo originates from, Arnhem Land. What the didgeridoo is used for, what it is made of. Introduce Traditional dance moves and encourage participation from children as they learn a dance called SPECIAL LAND Perry Fuller is from Kamilaroi Country (Coonabarabran). He is an accomplished didgeridoo (yidaki) player who has been playing for over 10 years. Perry is very active in NAIDOC festivities in Newcastle and surrounding schools. We can re sole quality footwear like RM Williams to off the shelf standard, along with repair items like new heels, elastic sides, upper repairs and much more. Check out this pair of RM Williams craftsmans. It has our popular Goodyear synthetic sole fitted, which is also available in black, and being welted boots, stitched, along with long wearing heels. These are suitable for a lot of work and social environments being anti slip, oil resistant, long wearing and comfortable to stand in. Nothing is left to chance with this type of repair. When old soles are removed old stitching is removed from the welt, and the cavity between sole and upper is recorked. This provides support and insulation and helps retain original comfort. Afterwards the boots are treated to a super clean, which involves a leather wash, leather conditioner, deodoriser followed by a full polish and shine. This alone is valued at $50 but included with the service. For the rural customer, quality full leather soles are an option.
